  3. If a team forfeits three games, they are not eligible for the playoffs.

 Ejections

  1.  Ejections are a serious offense. Most of us do not pay taxes in the towns we are playing in. A lot of politics, donations, time and hard work have been involved in our success in getting field accessibility.
  2. Any player ejected must leave the field of play.
  3. The captain or manager must then contact the board. The ASA board will also be contacting us.
  4. The board will then investigate and make a fair decision on behalf of the league.
  5. The player is not to resume play until the board has contacted his captain. He must assume suspension until a verdict has been made.
  6. Fighting will not be tolerated and will be dealt with harshly.
  7. Umpire abuse is not permitted. If there is a problem with an umpire please alert the board as the umpire will do the same.

Pitching

The pitching rules are to follow the A.S.A. rules.

Field Rules

  1. Games will begin at 6:00pm.
  2. We have no rights to the fields before the scheduled time. If any one is on them before your start time one person should politely inform the parties or teams our scheduled start time and then stay out of their way.
  3. Clean up after yourself.
  4. Obey all town laws and regulations.

Book keeping/ Protests

  1. Keep your books neat and orderly. All teams should elect a scorekeeper at the beginning of each game if you don’t have a scorekeeper you’ll be at the mercy of the opposition.
  2. If a protest is to be made, both books will be needed.
  3. How to file a protest: Manager tells ump, ump signs book to denote exactly at what time of the game it occurred, manager calls us and Jim will discuss it with umps
  4. At completion of each game the winning team is to have both umps sign their book.
  5. All winning teams are to call in their scores and number of umpires to our answering service (486-7055) It is obviously impossible to update standings without this information.

Rainouts

  1. Rainouts will be called by 4:30pm the day of scheduled play. If there is a good possibility of rain, the game will be called. We will text managers with updates
  2. Field conditions can also play into cancellations.
  3. If the game is not called before 4:45pm it can be at the field. In that event, both teams should call/text Jim.
